Leading a council-procured Stage 1 commission that translated artist Belem Lett’s visual language into a coordinated, reviewable package for a complex public site.

From artistic gesture to physical system.
Trade Arts won the commission through a council procurement process. I led the interface between Belem, the City, the design team and consultants while holding scope, budget and constructability around the artist’s intent.
We developed the preferred direction into a modular family of forms, tested how it would move across the walkway, and established preliminary approaches to fabrication, finishing, installation and later technical resolution.
The outcome was a clear Stage 1 package that connected artistic intent, spatial relationships and buildability. The project remains unbuilt.
