From artistic gesture to physical system.
The challenge was to preserve the character of the artwork while resolving a real public site with walls, stairs, overhead structure and pedestrian movement.
Trade Arts developed the preferred direction into a modular family of forms, tested how it would move across the walkway, and established an approach to fabrication, fixing, finishing and future technical documentation.
The outcome was a clear Stage 1 package that connected artistic intent, spatial relationships and buildability. The project remains unbuilt.
